I was anticipating having to buy the additional clip on bag. But I find I can get quite a lot in the pockets of this bag.
It's very well made. I've had lots of comments from people who have not seen these bags before.
I think it's great and it saves me from carrying around several bags.
My god why is this bag not everywhere!!! Greatest innovation of a cymbal bag. Such comfortable straps, a super convenient stick bag pocket and loads of space for cymbals + more. I’ve had mine for the past 5 years and it has held up incredibly well. No complaints whatsoever. Make the investment and you will not regret it.
I have purchased a number of bags from Fusion now.
They are very well designed, tough and very much fit for the purpose.
Prices are not cheap and that does cause a bit of deliberation when buying but all in all the bags are a good investment. I guess 'you get what you pay for' lets just hooe they can sustain the pricing for a while longer.
I love these gig bags. I have the tenor, alto, and soprano. In the mid 90's I had someone break into my car, at a restaurant, and steal my alto sax and other belongings. To this day I no longer leave my horns in my car after gigs. I take them in wherever I go, and having the backpack style bags make this effortless. The only disappointing thing is that the top handle on both my tenor and alto have come undone and essentially has become useless, for the price of these bags you would think they would be stronger in these key areas. Other than that, Amazing bags!
Well, I love the double bass case so I thought I'd start gathering my collection of cases for all my bases. Starting with a single bass case. Maybe I have a touch of OCD, but I'll be happy when my basses look like they all actually belong together as one family in matching Fusion Cases. The single case is just as cool as the double case. In fact, I had the opportunity to give it a proper test the other day. It started on Monday when I had a rehearsal. We were able to leave all our gear set up on the stage as we were rehearsing on Thursday as well (And no-one else would be in the venue). I took my bass home to practice... however, halfway home I realised that I needed my gear for a rehearsal with another band on the Tuesday... Ooops. Not to worry, Tuesdays rehearsal was in a dedicated rehearsal studio space that has all the gear set up. Tuesday arrived, and I loaded my gig bag with a strap, 2 small pedals (normally used at home), a 4 socket extension cable, my paperwork, pen, 4 cables and 2 power packs for the pedals and my spare moulded ear plugs. It all fit VERY easily into the many pockets on the bass case. I have a lot of love for these bass cases and prefer them over the many cases I've tried during my years of playing.... and I've had some nice ones!!
My only regret is not having discovered Fusion Bass cases sooner.
Just a bag for a straight mute. No clip or velcro system to attach to main case.
The bag itself is smart, and most importantly, provides a level of protection superior to that of some other gig bags on the market, certainly at the price. My main issue is that there's nowhere in the case itself to put a straight mute. I bought a separate mute bag thinking it would clip onto the main case, but it doesn't, so I have to carry that separately. I'm personally not bothered about the location of the mouthpiece holder, but would appreciate a bigger music compartment. Very little orchestral music is A4 size - however it will take an iPad Pro with a protective case. Quite a few people have complained about instruments not fitting into the space provided. My Alex200 only just fits in. True, exact dimensions are given, but it might be useful to compile a chart, much like on the Houghton Horns website, which shows which instruments fit into this bag. Maybe all these small niggles will be incorporated into the V2 of this bag.
It has lots of room. The pipes fit well and quite secure. It was very well thought out and must have had a lot of test runs before this was the final product. My guess is that there is all the room for otherwise not normally carried or carried separately items. This is my first backpack style case but I believe it will be a keeper for sure.
I usually travel with two ukes and am trying to use the train more often to get to gigs, so this is perfect. Not only does it hold both my soprano (thanks to the adjustable padding) and my tenor, but there's enough extra space for bits and bobs, even a change of clothes, plus the extra pockets for phone, tuner, etc.. It's really well made, light, and I have no worries about the level of protection, plus the backpack straps means I can keep my hands free. Highly recommended!
I've had this for a few weeks now, after buying this to update a 28 year old gig bag that was finally getting pretty threadbare.
It is my second Fusion bag - the first was for my Tenor Horn and I love that bag. I'm genuinely impressed with this one too.
First, as with my other Fusion bag, the pockets are legion - they are everywhere, which really reduces the need to carry an extra bag for accessories.
The protection is about as good as any gig bag can be without being a hard case with shoulder straps. The foam is robust and thick and the scary parts are reinforced (such as where the lead pipe is).
The backpack straps are very comfortable and tuck away competely, and (unlike my T Horn bag) the waist strap can tuck away completely when you only want the shoulder straps. The main shoulder strap is also quite comfortable and (at least for me) is not prone to slipping off (which would be a deal breaker for sure).
The handle is very comfortable, having a well cushioned underside, but also robust and well constructed with rivets to prevent failure with wear and tear.
The included rain cover is also a very nice touch (and rare!).
Well worth the price tag, and much appreciated Fusion. You've got a great product.
Where do I begin, and how many superlatives are too many? In this instance, there aren't enough superlatives. I got a Double Bass case (to avoid confusion it's for 2 electric basses not for 1 double bass). The bag is light, yet protective. The internal areas can be modified to fit your specific basses and keep them snug. If you ever need to travel light and only pack one bass, the unused section can be modified to fit pedals, clothes toiletries etc. That said, there are 4 pockets on the front of the case. one for cables, one for accessories, phones, pens, batteries, etc. One for a laptop. And another running the length of the neck from the headstock that you could store.....?? pedals? cables? straps? The case is so adaptable. I've only used it with 2 basses so far, but even with 2 basses in it feels well-balanced and light, when using the handle. It also sits very comfortably on your back, with nicely padded straps and extra support straps around the waist and chest. The cases also have little brackets (for want of a better word) around the edge of the case, these are used if you want to buy, and add on extra small clip-on storage cases. I haven't got any of these and may not need any, but Fusion considered our needs when they were designing these cases and even considered our need for growth and extra storage.
I just can't praise these cases enough. Every musician should use them.
I have more basses and all my basses already have cases, but they are ordinary (functional). I'm considering buying more of these cases to store all my unused basses in. They are THAT good and I know that I'll be transporting them all at some point in my life. Yes, it might be overkill, but it'll save space, and they'll all look like they belong together.
If you have any doubts about getting one of these cases.... put it to one side and buy one immediately, you won't be disappointed.
Although of good quality, this sleeve proved to be too small for my cornet, a modern Besson Sovereign. The zip has broken after about 6 months of use, and I don’t think it’s worth repairing in economic terms.
It would be fine for a smaller instrument, I think.
I have been looking without success for a case / gig bag for a Fylde acoustic bass guitar. I emailed to check the internal dimensions on this and they seem OK so I ordered it. As gig bags go is looks robust, more solid than most and well made. It also fits the guitar! Very pleased with this.
This bag is the best on the market and Fusion’s customer service is terrific. Definitely worth the price.-Harry Watters
Meine Drehventil Trompete passt sehr gut hinein.
Great case and space for stand / music / extras. So much thought has gone into the straps - comfort / adjustment / use of pockets.
My only gripe is the sleeve is very tight for my Neo. I need two hands and instrument against my legs to fit it in and zip it up. I find that a little frustrating as it takes time. Have considered using it but not zipping it up - but then I think the zip may run and scratch the instrument.
But for transport it’s a great case, no dings yet, it’s bulky when using public transport but I’d prefer one bag with everything in, than multiple bags / cases.
I was looking for a protective bag that would accommodate my new GanschHorn trumpet and a Killer King flugelhorn. I have had a Fusion Urban Triple Bag for the past ten years so I knew fit was not going to be an issue. My new Premium Triple Trumpet Bag is perfect. It offers all of the convenience of my older bag with added protection. Plenty of room for the horns, my mutes, my ipad and page turner along with the necessities of mouthpieces, lubricants and glasses for my old eyes.
The quality of construction seems excellent and I fully anticipate it will withstand constant use and abuse with the same aplomb as my older bag. Great product. I highly recommend it.
P.S. I love the mute holder.
Oder fulfilled quickly and arrived as stated and on time.
Fits my Sterling Heavy Bell Euph perfectly. Great product, only wish I'd had one sooner . I have also pointed others in the direction of Fusion. Very Happy Thank you
ウクレレを2本持ち運ぶことが多いので、このバッグに出会えて本当に良かった!
このバッグと共にいろんな場所を飛び回れることをとても楽しみにしている。
素晴らしいバッグを本当にありがとう!!
My Lowden guitar has been taken around all sorts of places/countries over the last 40+ years and has been well protected with its original hard case but that can be a bit cumbersome to lug around these days. Having already bought some Fusion bags for toting ukuleles around gigs I am highly delighted with their robust quality and versatility so I decided to invest on the large guitar bag to tote my Lowden around as and when.
I am very pleased with the purchase because of the same robustness and versatility and I just need to play around with the detachable padding inside to suit the Lowden best - I am pleased with my purchase
